In Big Miracle, a small-town reporter (John Krasinski) and an environmentalist (Drew Barrymore) start a international coalition to rescue a pod of three gray whales trapped under ice off the coast of Alaska. In 1988, Minnesota reporter Jason Davis was on location in Alaska and reported on the rescue mission as it was happening.

The Super Bowl is only one day away and to make sure you stay tuned during the commercial breaks to see the new TV spots that movie studios are shelling out big bucks to televise during the game, previews of the TV spots have been popping up online all week. So far, we've gotten sneak peeks at the TV spots for The Avengers, John Carter, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and the new Sacha Baron Cohen comedy, The Dictator. Now, a preview of the new TV spot for director Peter Berg's (Hancock) board game-turned-action movie Battleship has been released via Fandango that reveals that Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, and Rihanna will not only have to fight off giant Transformers-style killer robots, but human-sized Terminator-esque robots, as well.

The first official still image of Daniel Craig as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd movie based on the the classic British spy created by Ian Fleming, was released online only days ago and now more than a dozen "spy" photos of Craig on the set of the movie also have turned up online.

Russell Crowe seems to be up for every role available lately. Already set to play Inspector Javert in The King's Speech director Tom Hooper's musical version of Les Miserables starting this month, Crow was recently cast in Winter's Tale, which will serve as the directorial debut for Academy Award–winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind). Crowe could add yet another project that would team the actor with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky.
