Having access to sick time at work is good for your health.
The Centers for Disease Control studied 38,000 employees who work in the private sector. They found workers who have paid sick time were healthier, more productive, and less likely to get injured on the job.
Workers who have no paid sick time are more likely to suffer from illnesses or injuries, but many kept working for fear of losing income.
