An Academy Award winning actress is helping bring the gift of hearing to the world.
Marlee Matlin won the Oscar for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" for her performance in the 1986 film "Children of a Lesser God." She's the youngest actress and only deaf performer ever to do so. She's in town this weekend for the Starkey Foundation's annual awards gala.
Matlin, her interpreter Jack Jason and Starkey Foundation co-founder Tani Austin joined us in the studio Saturday morning.
