The power went out to about two dozen stores at the Mall of America after an electrical accident injured a mall worker.
Mall of America spokesman Dan Jasper says the electrician was treated at the scene, then taken to a hospital with electrical burns. He didn't know the full extent of the employee's injuries, but says he was conscious and alert.
The lights and cash registers in about two dozen stores on the mall's west side went out Sunday afternoon. Some decided to close for the day before power was restored around 6 p.m.
The mall's west side is flanked by Macy's and Nordstrom, but Jasper says those two department stores were not affected.
