Vandals hit the city of Blaine overnight, striking at least nine homes.
Three homes were on Nassau Court Northeast and many others were along Raddison Road Northeast. All of the homes had "Vote No" signs opposing the marriage amendment.
The Blaine Police Department said officers are considering the incidents cases of vandalism and not “bias” crime. A full investigation is underway.
The vandalism included giant pictures of male and female anatomy.
"I woke up to the telephone ringing, my neighbor Sherry calling to tell me to come outside because we had been vandalized," Kim Desota said.
Desota and neighbors immediately called police.
Sherry Hill says she feels "angry, frustrated, disappointed, and shocked over the crime." She was spending her Tuesday sanding, scraping, and painting over the images on her garage door.
"It's fine to disagree. We are all entitled to our own beliefs and thoughts, but nobody has the right to do this type of harm and damage to anybody's property," Hill said.
The vandals also spray painted the "Vote No" signs.
"I can replace the sign easily, but when it comes to my personal property that is going too far," Desota said.
