Promotion Writer/Producer, KSTP-TV, Advertsing/Promotion, Job# 52-13

STATUS: Full Time, Salaried

• 2-4 year degree or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum of 4 years previous similar work experience
• Superior writing, producing and non-linear editing skills (a writing test will be required to qualify)
• Thorough knowledge of software, editing and production techniques
• Significant experience with Final Cut Pro
• Must be highly creative
• Proven ability to create and lead a project from start to finish without direct supervision
• Must have valid driver's license
• Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and meet short deadlines
• Ability to work alternate hours as needed

• Create and lead on-air news and programming promotions
• Create original and innovative PSAs, event promotions and other special projects
• Create original long form videos, marketing presentations and other unique projects for TV stations and Corporate
• Identify and arrange for shoot locations, negotiate details related to shoot
• Manage workflow of projects and address challenges to meet all deadlines
• Exercise independent judgment and decision-making in completing assigned projects
• Train and coach others in Creative Services as well as outside the department
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, build effective working relationships
