"You will be hard-pressed to find a staff that is more committed to covering news, no matter when or where it happens.  The staff at 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS truly believes they are here to serve the viewer and can make a difference in the lives they touch."

Previous Experience
Lindsay began her news career in 1997 as a reporter and producer at KVIA-TV in El Paso, Texas.  She jumped into full-time producing a year later at KKTV-TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Lindsay got her first taste of the Minnesota working at WCCO-TV but in 1999 she returned to the rocky mountains to continue developing her producing skills at KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado. Lindsay moved east to WVIT-TV as executive producer in Hartford, Connecticut.  A year later, Minnesota called her back when she became an executive producer at 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.  She quickly assumed the assistant news director role and became news director of 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in January 2008.

Education
Lindsay graduated from Northwestern University with both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Journalism.

Awards
Under Lindsay's leadership, the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS team has won numerous awards for breaking news, coverage of the 35W bridge collapse and many more stories.  Radford states, "While I value the awards we have won, I believe we have to make our mark each day with our daily coverage.  We are committed to investigative journalism and the value it brings to the viewers.  If we don't ask the tough questions and hold people accountable, who will?"  She and her team are especially proud of winning the prestigious Peabody Award for the investigation "Who Killed Doc." The year-long 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS investigation found military commanders ignored warnings, botched investigations and failed to protect service members on their own base in Iraq. As a result of the story, the Armed Forces Medical Examiner has changed the way the remains of service members killed worldwide are tracked to ensure families of the fallen are notified of changes to their loved one's autopsy or cause of death.

Personal Interests
Lindsay and her husband reside in St. Paul with their son and daughter.  They are expecting their third child in November. In her spare time she enjoys restoring and remodeling their MacGroveland home, taking the kids hiking around Minnesota and visiting extended family throughout the Midwest.  She continues to search for local hot and spicy food, not "Minnesota hot."
