The State of Minnesota is currently holding more than $500 million of lost, forgotten or unclaimed money.
A new streamlined website just went online and according to the Commerce Department, checks can be sent to rightful recipients of lost money in as little as one day.
Rick Masloski of Lakeville was recently reunited with over $1,300 that came from stocks purchased by his father years ago.
Masloski encourages everyone to visit the state's website to check for lost cash in their name. "I would advise anybody to just check into it. All that it is, is you go on a website, you type in a person's name; it'll tell you there's money there for that person. It's that easy."
