An oil expert says the national average for a gallon of gas could easily rise above $4 a gallon.
Right now, the national average is $3.67, up 42-cents in just the last month.
The expert says prices traditionally rise 40 to 60 cents a gallon in late March through early May.
And they're even worse here in the Twin Cities. The average today is $3.76 a gallon, up 21 cents from last week, and up nearly 75 cents in the last month, according to AAA.
Rising prices are being blamed on high demand.
